Solana’s Tokenized Real-World Asset Market Surges…

Solana’s tokenized real-world asset market has grown from approximately $700 million to $4.3 billion over the past year, reflecting accelerating adoption of blockchain infrastructure for traditional financial products. The figures, highlighted in an October 16, 2026 report citing research from Castle Labs, represent an increase of approximately $3.6 billion, or 514%, over 12 months.Solana’s RWA market is now equivalent to roughly 26% of Ethereum’s $16.6 billion tokenized asset base, compared with approximately 4.5% a year earlier. The expansion reflects increasing activity across tokenized US Treasury securities, investment funds, equities, private credit and insurance-related products.Importantly, these figures exclude conventional stablecoins such as USDC and USDT, which are tracked separately from other tokenized financial assets. The growth also illustrates how Solana is emerging as a significant venue for institutional asset issuance and distribution, although Ethereum retains a substantially larger share of the market.

Solana Narrows Gap With Ethereum

Castle Labs’ comparison indicates that Solana added approximately $3.6 billion in tokenized assets over the past year, while Ethereum’s market expanded from $15.5 billion to $16.6 billion. That represents an increase of approximately 7.1% for Ethereum, compared with Solana’s 514% growth from a smaller starting base. The figures highlight a shift in relative growth rates rather than a reversal in the two networks’ overall market positions.Separate data from RWA.xyz, cited in an October 1 SEC filing by Forward Industries, placed Solana’s distributed real-world asset value at approximately $4.3 billion on September 30, up from more than $3.3 billion at the end of June. That implies roughly $1 billion in additional value during the third quarter alone.Forward Industries also reported that OnRe’s tokenized reinsurance asset, ONyc, increased in market capitalization from $203.4 million at June 30 to $286.2 million at September 30. The figures demonstrate that Solana’s expansion is occurring across multiple asset categories rather than depending exclusively on tokenized equities. However, changes in reported RWA value can reflect new issuance, redemptions and movements in underlying asset prices. They should not automatically be interpreted as equivalent net investment inflows.

Tokenized Equities and Treasury Funds Drive Adoption

The Solana Foundation’s October 6 ecosystem report identified tokenized equities as an important contributor to the network’s expanding financial infrastructure. Tokenized stock supply reached approximately $684 million during September, increasing 47% over three weeks.Trading volume for tokenized equities reached approximately $4.4 billion during the month, while cumulative tokenized-stock holder wallets reached one million. The Foundation separately reported $4.6 billion in RWA value across more than 3,000 assets, reflecting a different reporting snapshot and potentially different coverage from the $4.3 billion comparison.Institutional participation has also expanded through products associated with BlackRock, Franklin Templeton and other traditional asset managers. Tokenized Treasury funds and investment products allow eligible investors to hold representations of conventional financial assets on blockchain networks, potentially improving transferability and settlement efficiency.Nevertheless, tokenized assets remain subject to issuer obligations, custody arrangements, regulatory restrictions and underlying market liquidity. Their availability on a blockchain does not necessarily mean investors can trade or redeem them continuously. For Solana, the central question is whether rapid asset growth translates into sustainable transaction activity, institutional adoption and recurring network revenue. The latest figures establish substantial growth in tokenized asset value, but the network’s longer-term position will depend on whether issuers and investors continue expanding real financial activity onchain.
