President Trump touched down in Alaska on Friday to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Middle East special envoy Steve Witkoff joined President Trump on Friday.
President Trump said he hopes to strike a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine during his high-stakes meeting with Putin in Anchorage.
“I want to see a ceasefire — RAPIDLY! I don’t know if it’s going to be today, but I’m not going to be happy if it’s not today,” President Trump said to reporters aboard Air Force One en route to Alaska.

President Trump and Vladimir Putin shook hands on the tarmac at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage and walked to “The Beast” together.
