Moreno had commented on a report by Florida Voice, posting, “It’s FAFO time for these derelicts and there is no better person to ensure justice than @AGPamBondi The do-nothing, extreme liberal Mayor @AftabPureval won’t lift a finger to protect his streets and restore order, so it’s time to bring in professionals who will.”

Florida Voice’s Eric Daugherty had posted Monday evening, “BREAKING: Attorney General Pam Bondi has now ordered the FBI to GET INVOLVED in the incident where a gang of people was beating up individuals at the Cincinnati Jazz Festival, DOJ official tells @FLVoiceNews The FBI is ALREADY conducting interviews with suspects, and investigating. YES. LAY DOWN THE HAMMER. It’s UNREAL how much federal involvement was required here. The authorities only named suspects after @AAGDhillon called them out.”

Harmeet Dhillon, Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, put the Cincinnati government on notice Saturday evening in a reply to Moreno, “Our federal hate crimes laws apply to ALL Americans. We @CivilRights will monitor closely how local authorities handle this attack. Nobody in our great nation should be the victim of such a crime, and where race is a motivation, federal law may apply.”
