Steve Bannon talks with Senator Josh Hawley on 7/10/25
War Room’s Steve Bannon talks with Senator Josh Hawley about lawmakers’ attempt to slip AI moratorium into the defense bill.
“They are trying to slip the moratorium back into the NDAA. Can you explain to our audience why that’s a terrible idea sir?” Bannon asked.
“It’s a terrible idea for the same reasons it’s always been a terrible idea Steve, which is to give these companies, these mega companies, multinationals 10 years where they can do whatever the heck they want,” Hawley said.
“They are gonna come after everything that is yours. Your name, your image, your likeness. They are gonna take it,” Hawley warned.
“It’s all happening behind closed doors. So, if you are not on the committee, which I’m not, you don’t have any idea what’s going on,” Hawley continued.
“It’s not really even a moratorium, Steve, it is a giveaway to the biggest multinationals, Mark Zuckerberg, these kind of guys in the world. It’s a disaster,” Hawley warned.
Senator Hawley also told Bannon that he wants to ban Chinese corporations from owning US farmland and all private property. He warned that foreign ownership of property in the US puts our sovereignty in danger.
“Why is Missouri leading the way on taking on the Chinese Communist Party?” Bannon asked.
“We are populists in the state of Missouri. We believe in the people’s rights and what we don’t believe is China coming in and buying up our farmland,” Hawley declared.
“We’ve got a lot of young farmers who can’t buy land. Why can’t they buy land? Because Chinese corporations and other shell companies are coming in and buying up all of the land,” Hawley warned.
“We ought to ban it. No ownership of farmland by Chinese corporations. Steve, I don’t want them owning real estate either of any kind,” Hawley continued.
“Family farms are going out of business, and yet these mega farms owned by China are proliferating everywhere. We’ve got to put a stop to that,” Hawley said.
