Kristi Noem
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was transported to a hospital in the Washington, DC, area by ambulance on Tuesday.
Noem, 53, has been the center of leftist protests over her intense crackdown on illegal immigration.
The reason for her emergency treatment has not been disclosed at this time, but she is reportedly conscious and has spoken to her security detail in the hospital.

According to independent journalist Nick Sortor, Noem’s ambulance was escorted by multiple Secret Service vehicles.
