Trump & State Department Slam France for Le Pen Ban—Expose Political Persecution

US President Donald Trump and the State Department have strongly condemned France’s decision to ban Marine Le Pen—an anti-globalist and sovereigntist leader of the National Rally party—from running in the 2027 presidential election. The move follows a court ruling that sentenced her to prison after finding her guilty of embezzlement and misuse of EU funds.

To conclude court proceedings that took place over the course of four months, a Paris court ruled on Monday that Marine Le Pen, former leader of the National Rally (RN) party, must serve a four-year prison sentence—though two years are suspended—and is prohibited from holding public office for the next five years. Unless successfully appealed, this decision will prevent her from competing in the 2027 presidential race.]

Prosecutors claimed that Le Pen improperly allocated EU funds meant for parliamentary assistants during her tenure in the European Parliament. Le Monde, one of France’s newspapers of record, reported that prosecutors argued in court that she and other National Rally figures redirected the money to finance party operations within France.

Le Pen, rejecting the charges as a politically driven attack, has vowed to challenge the ruling through an appeal.

Yesterday, U.S. State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce commented on the matter, drawing clear parallels between the legal proceedings against Marine Le Pen and the criminal prosecution of former President Donald Trump under the Biden regime’s Department of Injustice. She also disagreed with the reporters characterization of Le Pen as a ‘far-right’ politician.

“Exclusion of people from the political process is particularly concerning, given the aggressive and corrupt lawfare waged against President Trump here in the United States. We support the right of everyone to offer their views in the public square, agree or disagree,” Bruce said.

“We’ve got to do more as the West than just talk about democratic values. We must live them,” she added.

Bruce then recalled that during his address] at the Munich Security Conference in February, Vice President J.D. Vance rebuked Germany and other European ‘allies’ of the United States for what he characterized as efforts to curtail political competition. “Democracy rests on the sacred principle that the voice of the people matters. There is no room for firewalls. You either uphold the principle or you don’t.”

Trump calls out the political persecution against Le Pen in France.

He said “it reminds me of this country”.

What happened to Trump is not an isolated incident. The Deep State are interfering in elections and engaged in regime-change, around the globe.

President Donald Trump, for his part, described the court’s decision to bar Le Pen from pursuing high office as “a very big deal” during a White House signing ceremony for an executive order designed to address certain practices of concert ticket resellers. He was accompanied at the event by the artist known as Kid Rock.

“I know all about it and a lot of people thought she wasn’t going to be convicted for anything,”

“She was banned for five years and she was the leading candidate,” Trump said, underscoring that Le Pen had been the front-runner in polling ahead of the French presidential election. “That sounds like this country, that sounds very much like this country,” he added.

Le Pen retains the option to appeal her sentence. Should her appeal be unsuccessful, she will face a four-year prison term—two years of which will be suspended, while the remaining two will be served under house arrest.
