JUST IN: Rep. Andy Biggs Files Papers to Run for Arizona Governor in 2026 After Trump Signals Support for RINO Karrin Taylor Robson

U.S. House Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) filed a statement of interest on Tuesday to run for Governor of Arizona in 2026.

This comes after President Trump made a highly questionable endorsement for former Kari Lake opponent and RINO Karrin Taylor Robson.

“Are you running for Governor? I think so, Karrin, because if you do, you’re going to have my support,” Trump said while giving Robson a shoutout on stage at Turning Point’s AmFest event in Phoenix, Arizona.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Robson formerly ran in the 2022 Arizona gubernatorial primary, endorsed by turncoat RINO Mike Pence and RINO Governor Doug Ducey, against Trump-Endorsed Kari Lake, and she called Trump a “drag on the Republican Party” shortly after he announced his reelection bid on November 15, 2022.

Robson previously bundled donations for and donated to radical left Democrat Ruben Gallego, supported policies like discounted college tuition rates for illegal aliens, COVID lockdowns, biological men in women’s restrooms, and, more recently, she held a fundraiser for RINO Chris Christie’s bid for President against Trump this past election cycle.

Biggs, on the other hand, is one of the most Conservative House members and knows the issues that Arizonans care about.

Andy Biggs declares interest in running for Governor in 2026

Biggs released a statement Tuesday, announcing his decision and stating that he will be considering this decision as he hears from Arizonans:

Today I filed a formal expression of my interest in running for Governor of Arizona in 2026.

I love the greatest state in the Union, Arizona. Arizona has a bright future but will need strong leadership to reach its full potential. I have been honored to serve Arizona at the state and federal levels and will bring my experience home to my native state to help it fulfill its tremendous capacity. I have a firm understanding of what the state needs to thrive. I look forward to conversing with my fellow Arizonans as I consider this weighty decision.

Biggs would likely face Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs, who is eligible for reelection

Fellow Arizona Republican House Representative Eli Crane endorsed Biggs Tuesday on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast, stating, “He’s definitely the most qualified guy to do it.”

WATCH:

Crane: I think Andy is the most conservative and probably the strongest member of the U.S. House. He was also President of the Senate in Arizona. He knows Arizona. He knows how the system works better than anybody. I don’t think anybody would do a better job. You know, he has my full support, and I know he has the support of the War Room Posse… I hope he pulls the trigger and goes all the way through with it.

Conservative State Senator Jake Hoffman, who previously called on Trump to “fire whichever consultant or staffer told him to endorse the UniParty McCain network candidate for AZ Governor,” also proudly endorsed Biggs for Governor immediately after he declared his interest. “Andy will make an INCREDIBLE Governor and ensure Arizona is safe & prosperous for everyone,” Hoffman said in an X post:

ARIZONA GOVERNOR ALERT

I am beyond proud to be the first to officially endorse my good friend and fellow patriot, @RepAndyBiggsAZ for Governor of the great State of Arizona!
