President Trump’s nominee for Interior Secretary Doug Burgum faced questioning from Senators on Thursday during his senate confirmation hearing after a two-day delay.
Democrat Senator Mazie Hirono (HI) opened the confirmation hearing by asking former North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum if he has ever committed sexual assault.
“Since you became a legal adult, have you ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors or committed any verbal or physical harassment or assault of a sexual nature?” Mazie Hirono asked Governor Burgum.
“No Senator, I have not,” Burgum said.

Doug Burgum called out the left’s obsession with killing off America’s energy independence and destroyed their narrative.
“America produces energy cleaner, smarter, and safer than anywhere in the world. When energy production is restricted in America, it doesn’t reduce demand, it just shifts production to countries like Russia and Iran. These autocratic leaders not only don’t care about the environment but they use their revenues and energy sales to fund war against us and our allies,” Burgum said.
He continued, “President Trump’s energy dominance vision will end those wars abroad, will make life more affordable for every family in America by driving down inflation and President Trump will achieve those goals by championing clean air, clean water and protecting our beautiful lands.”
