Nigerian Lawmaker On Trial For Organ Harvesting in London

Read Time:1 Minute, 21 Second

A Nigerian Senator and his wife appeared in a London court on Tuesday to begin their trial for organ harvesting.

Senator Ike Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice are being charged with organ harvesting for allegedly bringing a 21-year-old from Nigeria to the UK in order to have his kidney removed.

Per BBC, prosecutors allege the couple planned for the 21- year-old man’s organs to be removed so they could be given to their daughter who is in need of a new kidney.

The victim reportedly refused to have the procedure done and later contacted the police.

Despite being charged for harvesting organs Ekweremadu has yet to reign from his position.

Ekweremadu refusal to resign has led to many Nigerians to protest outside of the London court overseeing his case.

One woman told Barron’s “This case is unbelievable. “Where else in the world would you have a deputy senate president — who is still a serving senator, he’s still getting his regular wage?”

In recent years organ harvesting has been running more rampant.

It’s not just occurring in Europe and China either but in the United States too.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported the NIH under the supervision of Dr. Fauci funded a University of Pittsburgh experiment that harvested organs from aborted babies.
